Beeswax For Lips

While Life, Not Labs has only been around for a few years we can safely say that all of our ingredients are millions of years old and have been used purposefully for just as long.  Beeswax is a very popular moisturizing lip balm compound; it contains natural emulsifiers which also help retain moisture making them helpful for dry or chapped lips.  According to the Mayo Clinic it is one of the best ways to prevent chapping and heal damaged lips.  This is the ingredient selected for our product with a primary purpose of locking in moisture.
It even assists in protecting skin from harmful UV rays.  Some Beeswax lip balms are rated as high as 6 spf due to the strength of the wax itself.  This all ties back to its use in the hive.  When it is made by worker bees, the wax is initially glass clear and odorless but develops color over time with the incorporation of pollen oils and propolis.  The wax is used to build honeycomb cells used for raising young bees as well as for pollen cells which are capped for storage.  Beeswax even contains small amounts of antibacterial agents for added protective benefits.
Beeswax is a perfect example of what Lifenotlabs.com has set out to include in its product line.  A compound created in nature to benefit life that is also very helpful to humans.  We are working with several of the best beekeepers in Upstate New York who triple filter their wax.  This gives us the opportunity to bring you the smoothest possible wax balm on the market; Catskills Gold
