The blood then signals that there is an emergency. Blood platelets bond to the lining of the break and activate chemicals that attract more platelets and other cells. One can consider the initial blood platelets to arrive at the cut as first responders. While they stick to the edge of the damaged area they also bond to each other. ...

If you're old enough to remember Donald Trump in the 1980's you'll recall a slim energenic forty year old with a racing mind.  He was at the height of American pop culture and the face of capitalism.  Somewhere in his 50s Trump began to increase weight.  In line with most males, he gained a pound or two every year between the ages of forty and sixty.    But the president crossed a dangerous threshold in his later physical exam.  Due to an increase of several pounds over last years weight of 239lb he is now categorized as officially obese...

Home Air Quality
A persons home is their sanctuary.  Be it an apartment or a spacious farm, ones living area is a place to relax and perhaps spend a majority of ones time.  The average person spends around one third of their lives just sleeping at home.  The vast majority of the air a person breaths is from the confines of this abode.        Researchers at the University of Colorado Boulder say the average house has air quality levels comparable to a major city.  They also determined synthetic cleaning products are a major part of a problem with most homes being...

teens stoners
One of the key issues during the medicinal marijuana debate was whether it would lead to higher usage rates among teens in the respective states.  A new study has just contradicted this hypothesis.  Researchers have concluded that states with medical marijuana laws actually now have slightly lower rates than states where it is still completely criminalized.    "The shifts were small," said lead researcher Rebekah Levine Coley, chair of counseling, developmental and educational psychology at Boston College. "For every 100 adolescents, just over one fewer would report having used marijuana in the preceding month following enactment of medical marijuana...

Congress Calls For Better FDA Foreign Facility Monitoring
The House Energy and Commerce Committee wrote today to FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb asking about inspections of foreign drug plants that make the pills and that have been the subject of inspections that found shortcomings in quality controls. FDA surveillance inspections of foreign and domestic drug manufacturing facilities have fallen over the past two years. The agency was also approving a record numbers of generic drugs during this same period. In some cases FDA inspectors had raised red flags and recommended penalties only to be overruled by higher-ups at the agency.    The contaminated drugs, known as angiotensin II receptor...

FDA Supplement Crackdown
It has been 25 years since Congress passed the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA). This act defines and regulates dietary supplements which are effectively regulated by the FDA for Good Manufacturing Practices.  These guidelines essentially ensure manufacturers will operate clean facilities and create products using only the ingredients on the label.  They also warn against misleading consumers with false claims or claims that have not been proven to be true by extensive studies.  The FDA has just issued a statement in the last 24 hours declaring an increase in supplement monitoring which includes warning letters (12) to individual supplement makers....

Time ran out on the Rams last night.  As the clock hit zero Tom Brady was followed across the field by two dozen reporters and a mob filled with friends, family and fans, He took the NFL mic and immediately thanked the crowd, noting that it had sounded like a game back in the Patriots home stadium.  The attendance of 70,000+ had clearly favored the Patriots in a stadium that was actually designated as the home field for The Los Angeles Rams of the NFC.   So how is it possible that New England weather could have played such a huge...

A testimonial From A Customer; My Life, Thanks To CItrulline
Aging has been tough on me. Since I reached the age of 35, I've noticed that my testosterone levels are depleting with every new day. I try to change my diet by buying the expensive foods that are supposed to be good for me, and yet I started gaining weight and feeling awful. At this rate, I would become more depressed knowing that as I progressed through life there wouldn't be much I could do to combat the effects of aging. Then, one day, my friend told me about plant-based Citrulline as opposed to eating watermelons all the time. I...
